Sustainability at Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group

The Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group has a history of contributing to society by meeting the diverse needs of industry with its proprietary technologies and product lines. We are committed to implementing sustainability management, as we consider the Group’s core purpose to be contributing to the sustainability of society through business. Based on the Group’s Mission of “creating value to share with society,” we aim to achieve the happiness and satisfaction of all our stakeholders by pursuing a balance of social and economic value.

One of the key issues we face today is “building a carbon-recycling society.” We are advancing initiatives for realizing a sustainable society by leveraging our strengths in accumulated technological expertise and specialized human resources. However, a carbon-recycling society cannot be achieved by any single company alone. We will deepen collaboration with government bodies, other companies, and various partners, and promote initiatives that advance carbon circulation in harmony with societal needs as we contribute to the creation of a sustainable society.

Furthermore, to continuously generate products and services needed by society, it is vital to develop our employees’ ability to generate new ideas and their sensitivity to recognize customers’ issues. Under our medium-term management plan, we are “enhancing human capital management,” by strengthening our foundation to promote innovation and developing human resources with the ability to view issues from diverse perspectives.

We will strengthen governance, internal control, risk management, and compliance, which form the management foundation supporting these corporate activities. Moreover, based on our Safety Philosophy that “ensuring safety is the top priority of our business activities,” we will reinforce our initiatives for achieving zero accidents and zero occupational injuries.

The MGC Group remains committed to pursuing sustainability management in order to earn the trust and empathy of all our stakeholders.
